mexico Sailing Isla isabel
Dec 10 2008 Early morning at dawn we sighted Isla Isabel in the south. Aproaching the Island we saw sevaerrl sails on the horizon, all departing vessels due to a weather forecast.
We proceeded to the Southern anchorage and anchored all by ourselfs. The crystal clear water making the anchor visable on the bottom. All went for a swim in the warm water. Later in the morning we made it to the beach where a few fisherman where getting ready to go home to San Blas for the lady of Guadeloupe festival.we walked to the concrete building and found that a rechears team was on the island but we only spoke to the cocinia as they all where out. Birds everywhere boobies, (bluefooted and common), giant frigatbirds and many others. Iguanas galore. You can walk up to them within a few feet. They show no fear. This is a very special places, we call it the mini Galapogos. Isla Isabel is located about 40 NM Nw of san Blas Mexico.
